Second Try

Well, we tried to find out if we are having a boy or a girl a few weeks ago but the baby wouldn't cooperate. So, thankfully my doctor is really nice and we get another ultra sound tomorrow (Friday)!!! So, hopefully I will be updating soon on whether we will be having another girl or a boy!!!

Week One of Bed Rest!!!

Well we finished our first full week of bed rest and I thought I would share what we did. I know I know...this is a record for me...two posts in one week. There are some perks to bed rest.

Monday...

We went over to my great friend JoEne's house on Monday and she watched all the kids and made them lunch while I laid on her couch. Liv loved the kid's pool and Belle loved digging a cucumber out of JoEne's garden.

Tuesday...

Then our other great friend Megan took the girls to the park and did some art with them at our house (the baby in the last picture in the swing is her cute son Titus). The girls had a blast and kept the big picture they made in the living room for a few days. Liv especially loved the glue portion of the project.

Thursday...

Then on Wednesday Grandma Lori took them and ran some errands and made a major trip to the dollar store. She brought back all sorts of fun projects and bows and shoes. (Plus they got to eat ice cream in the morning...I think the girls are loving bed rest!)

We have also spent a lot of time at Grandma Lea's and Papa Dave's house in the evenings as Brad finished one of his classes this week. They have such a routine over there and it is so easy to go there and rest. It is so nice to have such great family!

Friday....

The girls love Jill and baby Joel! She came over and took them on a walk looking for and splashing in mud puddles and then topped off the morning by making cookies.

7 hours of bed rest is hard to get in but we did it everyday this week which I have to say I am pretty proud of but NEVER would have been able to do without the help of great friends and great family. Brad just finished one of his classes so that will free up more time in the evenings but I am hoping this isn't a permanent bed rest or that it will at least stay at partial and not go to full. The girls have been great and Belle has only had a few moments of wondering why I am not up and at it like usual but overall the girls have really enjoyed all the playing with everyone!

So yes, I will have more time to update the blog but I am not sure what I will be updating it with. You may just get a lot of pictures with different angles from the couch...how exciting.
