BELLE....
So Brad and I went to check on the girls last night after we had put them down and I couldn't find Belle anywhere. I actually was kinda scared for a second. So I turned on the light and looked under the bed and sure enough...there she was. Brad and I died laughing, I grabbed my camera, she was almost asleep but still managed to say cheese for the camera. And yes, she slept there all night and woke up this morning at 7:00am happy as ever as she crawled out!
Belle reading with Papa Dave while my mom was cleaning the kitchen, Brad was doing 'leapfrog' with Liv, and I was laying on the couch.
Liv is quite the Daddy's girl. She doesn't let him leave her sight on the weekends!
HAIR in the Jones' house...we have worked very hard to grow hair here. Yes we have had a few 'mullet trims' but have never touched the bangs hoping the top and sides will eventually catch up with the back. And now Liv loves to put in her own clips...if you need any help with hair, I'm sure she would love to help. Just look at her skills...
And yes, the back is now long enough on both of them to put in pony tails but we are still working on the bangs growing....
Liv really likes to take pictures and sometimes we even get more than an arm in the actual picture. I was really impressed she got me and Belle in this one.
SUMMER SLURPEES!!!
Cheers!
So Liv picked out her outfit and Belle's dress and then Belle of course had to wear socks and mismatched shoes too because apparently that is what is cool these days. Liv told me the other day that she doesn't like to wear shoes that match so if you see us around, most likely they will both be in mismatched shoes.
I'm not sure why, but Liv LOVES to put on winter clothes in the summer...even when our air conditioning is broken and the house is 82 degrees. I try and explain to her that wearing a winter snow coat or read fleece pants, a red long sleeve shirt, and a red hooded sweatshirt will make her really hot but her response is simply "I like to be hot sometimes."
Always someone to ride the teeter-totter with!
COLDPLAY...
Brad and I were able to go to the Coldplay concert at the Gorge with some great friends (KJ being one of them as you can see) in July. We had a blast at the concert and camping afterwards. Meanwhile the girls played with Grandma Lea and Grandma Lori and had a blast! (PS I don't know why he insisted on wearing a Lakers jersey the entire night and then encouraged his friends to wear jerseys too, but he did. I love him anyways.)
SWIMMING..

We had swim lessons this summer for both the girls although I kept forgetting to take pictures so this is really the only one. They mostly had a great time except for when Liv got cold...then she wasn't so sure about the water.

(THE SHOE EXCHANGE)

Brad's cousin Kyle got married at a beautiful place near Clarkston. We unfortunately missed the ceremony because of a final for Brad but made it to the reception. Kyle and Sarah both looked beautiful and the girls had a ton of fun on running around and dancing.
BUNK-BEDS!!!
After Belle continuously climbed out of her crib, we moved the girls to bunk-beds a few months ago. Liv's on the top and Belle's on the bottom. They loved watching and 'helping' dad put them together. So far the score is 1 to 1 on falling off the top bunk. Liv's fall might have been my fault when she thought I was going to catch her and I didn't realize it, and Belle just fell out the other day when they were sitting on the top bunk together (which is why we don't let her sit up there very often).
4th OF JULY AT THE HURD'S CABIN

(yes it's got to be 90 degrees and Liv insisted on wearing her favorite sweatshirt for at least the lawnmower ride).

One of the highlights of the year is going up to the Hurd's cabin with Dougers, Jeannie, Auntie Al, Papa Dave, and Grandma Lea. The girls love the cabin, love the sand, love the boat and LOVE Dougers, Jeannie, and Auntie Al. I will post more pictures of that trip sometime soon.
SATURDAY DOUGHNUTS!!!

Every Saturday Brad let's me sleep in a bit and gets up with the girls and takes them to get 'Saturday Doughnuts' and juice and eat it on the picnic table. THEY LOVE IT! One Saturday Brad had class so I took them and all the way there they kept saying 'Daddy's turn, Daddy takes us to get doughnuts! etc...' I think the days of the week are ....Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Doughnuts, Sunday,... because
EASTER...

RICE...

Whoever decided to put carpet in the dining room (and the only eating area of the house) was not thinking very clearly.
OLIVIA IS 3!!!!

For Liv's third birthday (March 31st) we had two parties. One with a few of her friends for some cake and crown making, and one with the grandparents. Brad and I gave her a bike and although she likes her bike, she LOVES her helmet. She went through a phase where she wanted to wear it everywhere. We even made an entire Costco trip with it on. Usually people smile and comment on her outfits but that day they just looked and smiled because I think they didn't know whether or not she was wearing for 'style' or because she needed a helmet for some reason.
SISTERS, OR
We visited my grandparents in Sisters, OR back in March. We had a ton of fun. Jason and Hannah, Isaac, and Rebecca, came up from CA for the weekend which was great! I will post more pictures soon as I just realized they are all on my mom and dad's computer.

On the way to Sisters,OR I looked over at the girls and saw this. I thought it was pretty cute.
For those of you still here...thanks for making to the end of my version of a marathon!!! We love you all!
